Remember back in the days when folding your pants at the bottom used to be the coolest thing? Well, it’s become the most frequented fashion accessory for me lately. I picked it up from a stylist at one of the recent photo shoots, and I liked it so much that all of my skinnies are now folded at the bottom. Obviously, it’s imperative that you put on the right shoes, or else you will look like you just popped out of “Saved by the Bell” hence my lace up boots (which are my absolute favorites, btw- both the shoes and the show, of course!). On another note, I’ve recently started getting into hats again. I say “again” because I was really into collecting hats when I lived in New York years ago because there used to be a street shop (or cart?) in SoHo that I frequented where I...

Scarf is such a wonderful accessory that can be worn literally with anything to instantly upgrade the entire look. Well, there has to be a legitimate reason why I own 50 of them, right? lol I once saw on a TV show where a celebrity was showing her travel luggage filled with scarves in different colors, which totally makes sense since you can create numerous looks with one simple outfit (say a pair of skinny jeans and a white top) not only by wearing a different scarf every time, but by wearing them in different ways. You can tie a knot, belt it, let it hang, wrap it around your neck, wear it as a wrap on shoulders, tie two knots, and the list goes on. Especially considering the high airline luggage fees these days, why not pack a bunch of scarves instead of packing ten different outfits? A...

How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? I think I gained at least five pounds, which actually doesn’t make sense because I’m deathly sick at the moment. How does someone pig out so much over consecutive days and get sick? I would think that all that food consumption would build some kind of immune system in your body or at least a protective wall made with fat or something… Anyhow, on the day of Thanksgiving, I found myself subconsciously pulling out my late grandmother’s skirt from the closet. I call it subconscious because I just realized that it was my way of expressing the fact that I missed her presence at such a large annual family function that has been going on ever since I can remember.

Viva Las Vegas!

I know, I know… I’m behind schedule. I was finally able to drag my lazy butt (and broken foot) to the computer to write this overdue post on my Vegas trip. Sorry! I’m actually having some issues with my broken foot for which the doctor has ordered bed rest for a month. It’s hard for me to stay seated because the foot gets swollen so let’s see if I can keep this short and quick. :) Brunch at Wynn Buffet. While the selections may seem limited compared to others, quality is definitely superior. They’ve got everything from Gorgonzola Pear Salad (my fav) to Quiche. It was interesting because by the time we were finished with our first plate, lunch hour was approaching and a completely new menu started to show up. My tip would be to get there around 10:30AM so that you have access to both breakfast AND...
