We went to see some new houses in the neighborhood today for fun. I can tell that the developers are paying more attention to the customers these days since they try to cater today’s consumers’ desires and needs by almost completely getting rid of the backyard and expanding the kitchen space by twofold… which can be awesome at times but I just could never agree with the backyard thing. I have to have my own space and I prefer it to be outdoor.. Anyhow, as for my outfit, it’s actually my first time trying on a jumpsuit which was both very exciting and exhausting. I say this because not only do I absolutely love this particular piece because of its perfect fit and design but was pleasantly surprised of its versatility (meaning I ended up playing with it for quite some time). I like to mix things up a bit. Since these suede boots were the only shoes I could work with, I had to be creative. I grabbed a ruffle skirt that I got on sale for $15 the other day and matched it with a white ruffle blouse my mother in law got me as a gift from Korea years ago. Then I, of course, had to tone down the femininity with a black blazer that I’ve had forever and the opaque stirrups from my shop. The look is completed with gold vintage-ish jewelry pieces along with a belt with a gold buckle. I was initially a bit worried that all the ruffles might be overpowering but I think the tights and the jacket really eased up the look.

It was a free community weekend at LACMA. Sophisticated European paintings and sculptures on exhibition in the new Resnick Pavilion designed by world renowned architect, Renzo Piano Fashioning Fashion: European Dress in Detail 1700-1915 Imagine how different life would have been if we still had to dress this way? I would’ve finished off with cute booties but with a foot that constantly swells up, I spent most of my time on a wheelchair at the museum… so these vintage boots are the best I could do at the moment.. actually they are life savers. Without them, I’d be stuck with my Chucks which would TRULY limit my outfit selections.
