gray day

If an outfit is a reflection of one’s mood, this outfit is a result of an entire weekend spent in bed thanks to the cold virus that entered right in time for the long-awaited weekend. Perhaps it’s a good thing that I got sick a month before our trip to Europe as Justin says, so that my body has time to build immunity, since I tend to get deathly sick whenever I travel out of the country. Good thing I went to see a doctor today, otherwise I would still be in bed overdosed on NyQuil that never seems to work (not sure why I keep relying on it, however). Speaking of which, I’m going to miss my doctor so much when I move. I finally found the one I actually enjoy seeing after years of searching and being fooled. She’s not only friendly and approachable, but incredibly thorough...

back to the 90′s

back to the 90′s

Remember back in the days when folding your pants at the bottom used to be the coolest thing? Well, it’s become the most frequented fashion accessory for me lately. I picked it up from a stylist at one of the recent photo shoots, and I liked it so much that all of my skinnies are now folded at the bottom. Obviously, it’s imperative that you put on the right shoes, or else you will look like you just popped out of “Saved by the Bell” hence my lace up boots (which are my absolute favorites, btw- both the shoes and the show, of course!). On another note, I’ve recently started getting into hats again. I say “again” because I was really into collecting hats when I lived in New York years ago because there used to be a street shop (or cart?) in SoHo that I frequented where I...

It looks like I’ve got some explanation to do regarding my previous post on the concept of flow. I understand it holds many different meanings but the one I specifically was referring to is the one that which a person becomes completely absorbed into the task at hand that he/she loses the track of time. Basically, I meant to say that I wanted to be always be doing the things that puts me in that mental state, the things that make my heart skip a beat, put butterflies in the stomach, the things that make me forget about the basic necessities of life (ie food, sleep, shopping, etc lol). Those who get to enjoy this state regularly are athletes and artists. As someone who grew up as an artist, I know exactly what this feels like. I once worked on a fashion design portfolio for hours without getting any...

best of both worlds

On days like this, I am reminded once again how blessed I am to be living in California. Where else can you go skiing and hit the beach on the same day? Where else do you see autumn leaves and snow on the same day? The temperature has been in the 80s lately and I had a hard time resisting the urge to walk out of the office and head to the beach. I can’t remember the name of the street but these are a result of a detour caused by a major traffic on Wilshire. I love discovering unexpected treasures such as this beautiful tree-lined street. What a pleasant surprise it was! Veda Leather Jacket Genetic Denim Gray Jeans LNA Top Ray Ban Aviators Couronne Bag Hair by Esther at Scissor Sound

when the winds whisper through the crisp winter air

a versatile gray cardigan is a must. I’m completely out of battery and must recharge. This has been one ridiculously busy weekend filled with endless photo shoots, photo editing, etc. I must have gone through at least 2,000 photos just over the last few days. Actually fell asleep with my Macbook on my lap last night. I know, crazy, but it’s so much fun! Well, good night, folks- and everyone have a wonderful week!  :)
