My makeup artist friend tells me that Shu Uemura makes the best eyebrow pencil and concealer.
reminds me of the 4B pencil used in drawing
like the simple packaging and the rich/thick texture- Coverage is quite amazing.
It’s all about packaging. lol. I love their toner bottles.
Hope everyone’s having a fantabulous weekend!
I would like to introduce couple of my buddies without whom I cannot live.
Laura Mercier- absolutely wonderful. I especially adore the concealer and the cream eye shadow:
I did a lot of research before I picked upĀ Secret Camouflage. The decision was primarily based on the fact that it had the best reviews/ratings, which turned out to be successful. It’s matt, coverage is great, and it actually stays on! BTW, you gotta get it with the brush- they are like a happily married couple; totally made for each other.
As for the cream shadow, I have one from Benefit that I got couple years back, which disappointed me big time. It’s dry, gets crusty, and worst of all, doesn’t blend well. So when I got the LM one as a gift, I was a bit scared at first but once it was on my eyelid, it was like heaven. I use it everyday underneath the powder shadows. It gives my eyes a subtle glistening effect that doesn’t look too made-up, but natural. I use the gold for brown-toned make up and silver for smokey eyes. Absolutely love them.
Now onto foundation & powder-
Bare Minerals Foundation- at first, I was thinking, ‘ What? Powder Foundation? Isn’t that an oxymoron?’ Yeah, it WAS… until this baby was born. I got it from beauty.com after trying a sample. No regrets whatsoever. I don’t use it everyday, but since it’s supposed to be better than other stuff (since it’s so-called-mineral and all
), I use it every other day or so. When I get tired of using BB Cream, I put on this baby. When I need more coverage, I use LM oil free foundation which is also dreamy.
My makeup wouldn’t be complete without this angel. Seriously, this is THE BEST POWDER I’ve ever used. I bought it after reading a review that said, “This is the only powder I can sleep in.” It’s translucent, light, and not-cakey at all. After years of searching for the “Perfect Loose Powder”, I may have finally found one.
Dr. Feelgood by Benefit: This Doctor sure knows what he’s doing. No second opinion required. Though Benefit says you can either wear it underneath make up or over it, I would refrain from wearing it over make up. I love the lemon/tea-tree oil scent and how it magically makes my T-Zone shine-free. Makes your skin soft and touchable. A definite must-buy!
Found my face brush smiling at me the other day.
Love- reciprocated.
