Tis the Season to Give: Gifts for Her

I think I say this every year, but I cannot believe that it’s almost Christmas. It’s seriously around the corner and I’m starting to feel giddy because it is my absolute favorite holiday especially because my birthday is so close to it. Actually, I just love love love the entire last two weeks of the year which may be related to the two-week vacation I used to get at my last job, now that I think about it. Anyhow, to start off the season, I wanted to provide you with a gift list if you have yet to start shopping for ladies whether it’s your girlfriend, fiancé, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law (or maybe not), sister, coworker, best friend(s), not-quite-best friends, almost best friends, cousin, auntie, neighbor, boss, or yourself. It looks like a lot of the online shops are having a sale so it might just be the right...

why, hello there.

Fashion doesn’t always have to cost a fortune. Instead of shelling out hundreds on a party dress that you are only going to wear once (ok, maybe twice), shop your closet to achieve a classy look like this. All you need is a clean skirt and an elegant top. A cute pair of booties or ankle boots and a clutch add a nice, stylish touch. Top: Barcelona Lace Top in Black by Yana K

Tis the season to dress up

Isn’t it ironic that I prefer comfort over style when I know that I look better in tight, fitted feminine wardrobes? Am I the only one who owns five pairs of jeans that are like 2 sizes larger than my actual size? ;P It’s just that I have a rough relationship with looks that are straight up feminine or clothes that give me a hard time breathing or moving. For the feminine garments, I have to add a touch of masculinity or a wild accessory or something to tone down the princess-ness. If it’s the latter, I just try not to eat as much. :P On the other hand, I think this is another perfect holiday party look that’s neither too casual nor feminine. It’s super stylish, unique, and elegant at the same time, though obviously you would have to watch what you eat since the dress is skintight....

it’s the most wonderful time of the year

Can you believe that Christmas is only a week away? I sure can’t. December is my favorite month of the year not only because of Christmas but also because my birthday is in it (and everybody else’s, including my sister, aunts, grandma, brother in law, etc). I may not be getting any younger but I’m loving where I’m at. I finally feel like I know myself. If that doesn’t make sense to you, I don’t know what to tell ya but to wait till you get older. :) It’s time to celebrate. Bring on the festivity! Dress by Mark & James

The Girl in Red

Perhaps a bit earlier than usual, the company held a holiday party last night. Being its best year ever, the party exceeded my expectation in every possible way ranging from food to venue, not to mention the prizes. It was held at a luxurious golf resort in Newport Coast facing the Pacific Ocean. Too bad we missed the sunset and it was already too dark to see anything by the time we arrived but I’m reliving the moment with these pictures the hubby took. Definitely going back soon. :) I didn’t get to go dress shopping this year despite the party’s being a “black tie” event. I really don’t like spending money for one special occasion, I’m too much of an economical person for that. Silk Red Dress by Miss Sixty (I also sported a red lipstick to go with the dress which I never do. lol) Black Military...

Mini-product-review-collective-haul-kinda-thing

…like many of you, I received some nice gifts over the Christmas break and wanted to do a mini-product-review-collective-haul-kinda-thing. <A bit of uneasiness there because I ain’t no Michelle Phan. :P> First we have Fresh Soy Face Cleanser $38 As you may be aware from reading my previous post, I’ve never spent more than $10 on a facial cleanser but after being acquainted with this precious little thing in New York, I just could not get it out of my head (*~Can’t get you out of my head~* Obviously, I’m a fan of Kylie.. lol). It just feels and smells so organic, natural, whatever the appropriate word is, yet removes make up, residue, oil and all the dirty stuff perfectly while not drying out the skin. It’s nice. I mean, NOICE. Get it NOW!! Secondly, we have Stila’s Smudge Pot, Pots?! I don’t know. Whatevr… I debated between Makeup...
