Seoul Fashion Week Spring 2015: LEYII

SFW S/S 2015: LEYII

With emphasis on the beauty of female body, LEYII is known for her experimental approach to contemporary femininity that is both mystical and experimental achieved through minimalistic designs. Her new collection is a product of her intelligent use of rhythmical curves found in the works of Alexander Calder, an American sculptor famous for his abstract kinetic sculptures called mobiles that greatly influenced the modern art scene. While her creative interpretive approach should be praised, admittedly, it was not the most memorable show, perhaps due to the seemingly excessive number of pieces shown. Regardless, incorporation of bright colors amid a sea of monochromes added unexpected drama.
