Just a bit about me…

I like to eye-shop, that is unless I discover something I really, truly love that I just can’t imagine myself living without it and end up dreaming about it.

I like to travel- and when I am traveling, I spend most of the time walking around exploring the city, trying to act like a local. :P

I love to eat. I think I’m slowly becoming vegetarian, however.

I enjoy cooking- well, only when I feel like it. Pasta is my specialty; not because I received any kind of professional training on it, but because it’s the easiest for me. :D

I have a heart for missions. I desperately wish more people knew how wonderful Jesus is. I used to think that it was impossible for people to change… before I met Him. :*I

NYCfromQns

Enjoy a view of Manhattan from Queens.

QnsBrdge

Take a drive on one of NY’s numerous bridges at sunset.

NY Pizza

Grab a slice of New York-style pizza on the run.

vuittonny

Take pix of a boutique store on 5th Avenue.

pho

Have Pho on a freezing day @ Pho Pasteur in Chinatown

85 Baxter Street (btwn Walker & White)

New York, NY 10013

orozco

Take advantage of generous entertainment opportunities by world-renowned artists.

Diverse color positioning makes repetition fun: Gabriel Orozco @ MoMA

Monet_waterlilies

Be awed by the beauty of Water Lilies by Monet

moma

Visit one of my most favorite places in NY- MoMA

11 West 53th st.

New York, NY 10019

Never saw this place so packed in my life… took an hour just to enter.

frozen hot choco

Magically make a glass of Frozen Hot Chocolate disappear in five minutes.

Serendipity

225 E. 60th St.

New York, NY 10022

Call it a tourist spot but I just can’t resist it- even the 2 hour wait doesn’t faze me. If I could, I would have one everyday for a month and promise I won’t get sick of it.

manhattan in rain

Walk around midtown and become actively involved in people/cab watching- trust me, it gets quite interesting.

dylans

Conduct Candy & Chocolate investigation @ Dylan’s Candy Bar, where you will be greeted by every single candy ever existed on earth.

1011 Third Ave (at 60th)

New York, NY 10021

Since there was a two hour wait at Serendipity, went around the corner to kill time at Dylan’s. You gotta be smart to survive in NYC.

pvd

Take a walk down the memory lane.

PvD- one of my favorite DJs of all time. For a second I thought that I would love to be there… then again, I quit partying quite a while ago, not to mention the fact that I live 3,000 miles away.

panini

Have a break.

Panini & Lemon Soda @ a favorite cafe, Zibetto

NY at night

Manhattan at night in rain… besides the completely soaked boots, it was quite beautiful.

Lastly,

Reminisce the good old days.

Also be reminded of the reasons why I left.

Second day in New York-

long island

Somewhere in Long Island on the way to Montauk

hamptons

There are lots of these Victorian Houses on the East Coast- I would like one in the Hamptons, please. <333

Montauk

Montauk

sky1

Saw a tiny rainbow on our way back- it was the first thing I saw as I opened my eyes from a long nap :P

It’s funny how things unfold the way they do. I had mentioned on Twitter couple weeks ago how badly I missed New York (see Sidebar). Then, out of the blue my boss asks if I want to participate in a project taking place in New York (she had no idea that I was dying to go, nor that I had ever even lived in NY).

And today, I got to visit the Hamptons along with Montauk both of which I had always badly wanted to visit, but never had a chance when I actually lived here. Another reminder that God listens to every single prayer, however insignificant it may seem to be.

Connecticut tomorrow. ;)
