the usual suspects

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been seeking a change… hence this outfit. ha! Instead of sporting the usual toned-down look, I went for a bold look complete with a red lipstick. The shoot took place in a neighborhood park where the city does a wonderful job of conserving and maintaining the wild lands and natural habitat. The weather was beautiful which made the occasion even more pleasant for us. I wish I could lay out in the sun every single day! Ah, the joy of living in a place where it’s sunny 90% of the year. ;) I think the gray and leopard work surprisingly harmoniously. The gray definitely tones down the wild print while the print adds a touch of glamour to the whole outfit. It’s such a fun look. Fashion should be entertaining and this outfit does just that. Do you agree? Fluxus Harem...

oh my mysterious lady

I can’t believe that it’s already summer in California, well at least during the day, that is. It’s the strangest thing how there are almost 30 degree day/night temperature variations here. That proves once again that not everything is perfect, I guess? I don’t mind it though… I just need to remind myself to dress light and take a jacket with me in the morning. One of the things that gets me excited every time I’m on Wilshire is Chris Burden‘s Urban Light installation at LACMA. It features 202 antique cast-iron lampposts from various cities in and around the Los Angeles area. What makes it unique is that each lamp brings its own identity and history. It took Burden seven years to recover and restore these vintage lamps. The artist’s description of the work is as follows: a statement about what constitutes a civilized and sophisticated society: safe after...

Doesn’t this dress remind you of green tea? I was ecstatic when I saw the green tea flavor at Yogurt Land the other day, my absolute favorite. I was so sad when it went on vacation at Pink Berry last summer, you have no idea. things are not always as they appear

Where I spent the weekend. I voluntarily chose not to join in on the fun this time since I’m still cautious with my foot, which actually is both good and bad, because for someone who learned to ski at the age of eight, I suck big time, primarily due to my excessive fear of falling off the cliff and/or crashing into someone and breaking something. Not that I wasn’t scared when I first started, but I unfortunately had to experience it firsthand when I broke an ankle when I was only ten. My dad must have thought that I was a boy when he kept taking me to the expert courses. I remember that day when tears filled up in my eyes as we got off the lift on top of a mountain covered with blood-stained snow. Ah, the memories. LOL So yeah, I do have some legitimate reasons...

Let it snow

My friends and I went on a short ski/snow getaway to a nearby mountain over the weekend. While it was rather tiring than relaxing due to a long drive and lack of sleep, we brought back some wonderful memories along with tightened pores thanks to the freezing cold water! hehehe Sometimes a short, impromptu trip like this can really help you unwind from the daily madness. I actually find it extremely therapeutic and creativity-inducing. Definitely need more of these in my life! :) Foreus Exclusive Faux Fur Leopard Coat Monrow Vneck Top Genetic Denim Jeans Born Boots Style by Yoon Necklace Leather Gloves courtesy of SH, Esq Jennie & Cailyn Leather Bag Photography by Kristy K.

Where my heart belongs

Thank God it’s going to be Friday in 30 minutes. This has been a very long week, perhaps due to the long holiday break. On a brighter note, I’m off to Big Bear tomorrow to see the snow, yay! It’s unlikely that I will ski this time since I’m still very cautious with my foot but I will at least get to spend some quality time with good friends. Hopefully they will have wifi up there. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Jennifer looked stunning at last night’s People’s Choice Awards in a Dolce & Gabbana suit. Love the necklace and vest combo. I think she’s one of the few women who pull off suits so amazingly, other than Angelina that is. (Being a huge Angelina fan, keep in mind that I’m totally biased) Images from various sources on Google images including Access Hollywood
