I love that summer is finally here.
But at the same time, I miss the winter.
Oh, the contradiction.
I convince myself that there is a good reason for it, however. The heat here is sometimes truly unbearable but that’s all because I come from a place where the weather is perfect 24/7 365 days aka Southern California. It feels a bit cooler today so hopefully it’ll stay this way for a while because from what I hear, it’s not normal for the weather to be this hot around this time of the year… In fact, it’s not even July yet. Everyone’s hoping for rain this week which I don’t mind at all at this point.
I find myself reaching for brighter hues these days because I believe it not only helps me feel “cooler”, I think it makes people around me feel “cooler” too. No scientific evidence here though (maybe there is, do let me know if you come across one).
