Good running shoes do miracles.
I never thought that I would enjoy running. Every time I did, my knees would hurt so I abandoned the idea a long time ago. Instead, aerobics of many kinds replaced my cardio routine.
But as your taste changes, have things changed… And I strongly believe that it all started with these:
Nike Air Max+ 2009 Women’s Running Shoe
I know I’m blessed to have a received a special deal because without it, I would’ve never even considered them, because they are simply way too expensive ($150). (fyi, I had never spent over $70 on a pair of running shoes.) Only other Nike running shoes I had ever owned was the baby blue ones that my dad got me for $60 when I was visiting from NY which was about 9 years ago. Back then I knew nothing about the importance of cushion and all the techy/scientific stuff about running shoes. Now that I’m older and wiser (ha!), I now understand why people spend so much money on a pair of sneakers. You can call it a miracle or whatnot, but I seriously can run for an hour and not get tired (that’s 4+miles for me) with these on. Considering that the longest I could run before was less than a mile (or 15 min max), this is a dramatic improvement. I’ve been running at least 3 miles a day everyday and I’ve never felt so healthy! I hate to admit but I can feel my body getting lazier due to the decrease of metabolism as I age… so this is my way to counteract the phenomena, and hopefully I will be able to run more as my body gets stronger and trained. so if any of you are in the market for running shoes, consider these… Are they not only super cute and comfortable, the air bubble thing actually does wonders! Instead of getting tired, you will become more and more energized as you run because the air cushion works like a spring, helping your body to rebound on impact.
